Toni McMullen Starks was born in Choctaw County on March 24, 1969 to John and Ola Mae McMullen at an early age she accepted Christ into her life at Weir Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Weir, MS. Toni was united in holy matrimony to James Starks on June 4, 2019, who preceded her in death by her mother and father, John and Ola McMullen; four brothers, William Kirkwood, Loris McMullen, Billy Jean McMullen and Frankie McMullen; one sister, Johnnie Ward.
She leaves her memory to be cherished by her daughters, Akeba Shumaker, Anatasia (John) Davis, Toshonna (Marcus)McMullen; one son Eddetrick (Ceola) McMullen; one stepson, James Randall; six grandchildren Laiken Tamari Shumaker, Ashton McMullen, Kaia McMullen Darian Holmes, Marcus Holmes,Jr, and Logan Howard Holmes; three brothers, Charles (Charlotte) McMullen, James McMullen and Roger McMullen; three aunts, Pearl Carter, Floy Witt, Willie Mae Evans; a very special friend Elizabeth Jobe; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and. friends. She was indeed a mother to many.
