Walter B. King was born November 13, 1967, to Hugh Walter and Irene King. He joined Providence Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Gunner. Walker graduated from Noxubee County High School in 1985. Walter was in Law Enforcement in Noxubee County, Madison County and Frost County for a total of 16 years. Then he worked for the Federal Government for three years in Hattiesburg, MS. Walter married Dante Clay, August 29, 2004, in Canton, MS. Walter accepted his calling to preach in November 2008 at Union Chapel M. B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Billy J. Clay. Walter became a Basic Lay Servant in March 2014 under the leadership of Pastor James Morris. Walter became an Ordain Baptist Minister in January 2018 at Harper Chapel M. B. Church under the leadership of Pastor. Cedric Wooten. Walter departed this life July 26, 2021, at Merit Health Central in Jackson, MS. His father, Hugh Walter King; his mother Irene King all preceded him in death. To celebrate his precious life he leaves his wife Dante C. King, (3) children; Tavoris (Jerlisha) Graham of Tupelo, MS, Maya G. Clay and Ciarria S. King both of Louisville, MS. (2) sisters; Marie (Willie) Langford Columbus, MS and Carolyn King of Macon, MS. (1) brother Jack (Jocetta) King of Macon, MS. Host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
