Jerome Bates

Jerome Bates was born June 26, 1958, to this union of Tommie de and Lue Ester Bates in Louisville, MS. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, (1) brother Tommie L. Bates and (1) sister-in-law, Linda Williams, brother-in-law David Lee. Jerome attended Kemper County High School and furthered his education at EMMC in Scooba, Ms. He was employed at Rives & Reynolds and later worked at Georgia Pacific up to plant closing. Jerome was a lovely devoted husband. He was a loving father to all his Children he met especially to his own that he loved dearly.

Jerome Bates departed his life January 20, 2015. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife Evelyn J. Bates, Parents; Tommie De and Lue Ester Bates of Preston, MS; Mother-in-law Patty J. Hopkins of Louisville, MS; 6 children: Dewonne Mc Duffy, Cora Mc Duffy, Jerrica Bates; 3 step children: Yolanda Lockett, Martez (Willean) Hopkins, both of Louisville, Ms. Jerahme (Ebony) Hopkins of Starkville, MS; 4 sisters: Dorris J. Lee, Joyce Facen both of Rock Island, IL; Willie Ann Nunn of Omaha, NE; Shirley F. Bates of Louisville, MS; 3 brothers: Charles E. Bates, Larry Bates of rock Island, IL; Bernice Miller, Emma Cooper, Carolyn Hopkins, all of Louisville, MS; 5 brother-in-law: Jimmy Hopkins, Anthony Hopkins, Tommy Ray (Janice) Hopkins, Lee Earl Hopkins all of Louisville, Ms. Harvey Jr. of Phoenix, AZ. 10 grandchildren; La Daren, CJ, Jumail, Demarcus, Lakendrick, Hayli; 4 step- grand children: Kaiya, Josiah, Erynn, Aliegha, (1) great-grand, Kristen, 2 god-sons: Brian Eichelberger & Samuel Green, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
