Mr. Elmer Tucker, affectionately known as "TUCKER AND DOG," was born on June 5, 1954, to the late Grady and Zula Tucker of Attala County. He attended high school in Winston County School District. He met Margaret Tucker, and they married on December 24, 1974.
Elmer was baptized in Jesus's name and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost at Narrow Way Pentecostal Church. Later in life, he became a member of the Greater Hope Pentecostal Church.
Elmer was employed for many years at Rive & Reynolds Lumber Co., and before retiring, he worked at Georgia Pacific. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, landscaping, and taking care of his coon dog and horses, "BIG MOMA & ESSIE."
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Zula Tucker; son, LeMorris "RELL" Tucker; brothers, Issac Tucker, Larry Tucker, and Melvin Tucker; grandparents, Walker and Agnes Carter, Ike and Lee Ann Tucker; brother-in-law, Willie Young; and sister-in-law, Tiffany Tucker.
Elmer departed his earthly life peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Choctaw Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Elmer leaves to cherish his legacy and memories with his wife, Margaret Tucker; sons, Elmer (Tineka) Gladney of Weir, MS, and Elton Tucker of Louisville, MS; daughter, Tenika Tucker of Raleigh, NC; siblings, Dixie Lee Young of Philadelphia, MS, Doris Hemphill of Mobile, AL, Mary (Anthony) Prior of Noxapater, MS, Howard Tucker of Noxapater, MS, Jerry Tucker of Laurel, MS, and Kenny Kelly of California; grandchildren, Zakkariyya Gladney, Tekera Tucker, Jaiden Tucker, TyMorris Tucker, Diamond Tucker, Maresa Tucker, Elmar Gladney, Miles Tucker, and Lakyerian Tucker; and host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
