Elbert Colter

Elbert Colter was born December 31, 1935 to Mr. and Mrs. Will and Beula Mae Colter in Louisville Mississippi As a young man, he worked at sawmills and hauled pulpwood. At an older age, he worked and retired from USDA Forestry Service in Ackerman, Mississippi. Elbert had great enthusiasm for music. He loved  to play his guitar along with singing and dancing. He also enjoyed working in his garden. He departed his life Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at his home. He leaves to cherish his dear friend of 30 years Valdo Ashford, of Ackerman, Mississippi. He also leaves one sister, Ida Mae Hannah of Ohio and two brothers, Tony Colter of Ackerman, Mississippi and RB Colter of Louisville, Mississippi, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
